2 1/2

We are loving everything (except small tantrums here and there) with our 2 1/2 year old!!  He is so fun to be around and is constantly talking and entertaining us.
He can't wait for Spring and Summer to get outside and use this new helmet.  He insisted on keeping it on his head and wouldn't let us take it off for two seconds to cut the cardboard off.

He loves to hang out with me during the day.  We read lots of books, color, play games and sing songs throughout the day.  His favorite song is "I am a Child of God".  His favorite book his "Green Eggs and Ham".  His favorite game (besides playing letters) is Candyland.

I love to sit back and watch him use his imagination with his toys.  He could play for hours with Buzz and Woody and his McQueen Cars.

He loves to go up high and jump off of anything he can.  We took him to ijump and he loved every second!!  He has figured out that he can climb on the counters and reach things if he pulls over the kitchen chair.

He loved playing out in the snow this winter.  He loves everything about his dad and calls him his "best friend in the whole world".  He loves to hear dad unlocking the door in the mornings when he gets home from work and is his sidekick wherever they are together.

So handsome!!

He has a great memory!!  I can sit down with him and point to random letters and he knows them right off the bat as well as the sound the letter makes!  He is constantly wanting to play "letters" and loves to learn new things.

-He also loves to play with his cousins and asks for them often throughout the day.  When we say our prayers at night he likes to say them by himself and will bless all his cousins.
-He will pat my belly and say good night baby sister and kiss it randomly throughout the day.
-Halfway (is there such a thing) potty-trained.  No problem with #1 but #2 is a different story.  Keeping my fingers crossed he has it down before his baby sister gets here.

We love this little boy and are so blessed to have him in our home!!

Baby Wren #2

We are so excited to announce our news that we are expecting!  We are due the end of May!!  Tayven is already talking about the baby and when we ask him if we are having a baby brother or a baby sister, he says "baby brother and baby sister."  He has to kiss the baby and tell it night, night when we go to bed.  He is going to be the best big brother ever!!

White Reunion 2012

Shawn's Mom's family has a huge reunion every 2 years.  It is so fun to go and see everyone.  This year it was in Brian Head, Utah and we stayed here.  It was beautiful and had tons of room for everyone.  We had a lot of fun and look forward to going back in 2 years!!

Bryce Canyon (about 30 minutes from where we stayed).
Tayven and Teague reunited.

Our family at Bryce Canyon.
Tayven could have ate "cheeps" the whole time we were there.  We went to Penguitch Lake this day.  It started raining but we still had a little picnic and let the kids run around for a bit.
The annual saw dust game.  Candy and money is thrown in and if you pull out items marked a certain way you can trade it in for bigger bills.  This was Tayven's first experience and he doesn't like to get his hands too dirty so he didn't dig much.
Four generations
Shawn cuddling with baby Emery.
We had a talent show and Tayven wanted to be the star.  We did put on his favorite song (The Freeze Song) and let him dance with all of the other cousins.  He could have danced all night.
Most of the grandkids that were there with Grandpa Dewane.  We celebrated his birthday the morning that we left.
Inseperable
The winning team of the scavenger hunt.  We had to find different things outside.  The kids found a horny toad so we ended up winning due to the best unique item.

Camping

Tayven and I (Shawn had to work) went to Island Park with my family for a few days.  We stayed at the Buttermilk Campground right by the lake.  The boys loved throwing rocks in the water and were on the look out for sticks the whole time we were there.  The guys got some fishing in, we went through Yellowstone Park one day (saw some buffalo, elk, and some pretty waterfalls), floated the river, and went to Big Springs.  It was nice to get away, but not sure I would take Tayven without Shawn again :).
One of the stops along the way.

Summer Time

We have been up to a lot of different things this summer...
Jensen's Grove
Colby's baseball game

We were able to go to Park City and stay with my best friend, Kenzie, for a night.  Tayven loved her!  He would only hold her hand in downtown Park City.

Happy 25th!

We celebrated my 25th birthday on the 27th and I couldn't have asked for a better day!  Mom and I went shopping, Shawn and I went to dinner, and then we had cake and ice cream at the park later with family.  Shawn got me a really nice bike that I can pull the bike trailer with now!

Love this guy!
